Tina Nielsen, founder of Gastronomic Narratives
Gastronomic journalist and editorial consultant
I am an accomplished magazine writer and editor with 20 years’ experience as a journalist, the last 10 within the world of gastronomy.
I have covered gastronomy internationally and interviewed many of the world’s top chefs, including Thomas Keller, Rasmus Kofoed, Grant Achatz, Eneko Atxa and Ana Ros.
Born and raised in Denmark, I moved to Spain in 1994 where I lived for four years before going to London where I studied Journalism at City University. I covered business and enterprise before moving to gastronomy. The blend of business and gastronomy gives me a unique perspective on the world I write about and operate in – familiarity with the culinary elements coupled with the insight into the business side gives me a deeper understanding of the sector and the profession.
Journalism clients include National Geographic Traveller Food, The Guardian and The Independent.
In addition to editorial work, I am an experienced presenter and have contributed to important hospitality conferences.
In my spare time I love travelling, exploring new restaurants and cuisines and playing football.
